Are you passionate about Irish dance? Do you have a flair for design? Here's your chance to showcase your creativity and win the costume of your dreams!
Rising Star Designs, renowned for our exquisite Irish dance costumes turns ten this year and to celebrate we are thrilled to announce the “Decade of Dreams Irish Dance Dress Costume Competition." This competition invites dancers of all ages and levels to unleash their imagination and create a unique Irish dance costume that reflects their style, personality, and heritage.
How It Works:
Design Phase: Participants will sketch or digitally design their original Irish dance dress costume. Whether it's traditional or contemporary, the design should be innovative, eye-catching, and suitable for performance. You can download our template to start you off.
Submission: Entrants will submit their designs along with a brief description explaining the inspiration behind their creation before March 22nd. Submissions will be accepted via email to keith@risingstardesigns.co.uk
Judging: Keith will then will evaluate each entry based on creativity, originality, adherence to Irish dance costume traditions, and overall presentation.
Finalists: Keith will select 5 finalists whose designs stood out among the rest. These finalists will be announced on our website and social media platforms on March 24th.
Public Voting: Once the finalists are announced, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite design on Instagram. Public voting will contribute to the final decision-making process. The vote will close at 5pm GMT on March 31st.
Winner Selection: The design with the highest overall public likes will be crowned the winner of the competition. The winner will be announced on our website and social media platforms on April 1st.
Prizes:
Grand Prize: The winner will have their dream Irish dance dress costume brought to life by Rising Star Designs. This custom-made costume will be tailored to the winner's measurements and specifications, creating a one-of-a-kind ensemble worth treasuring..
Runner-Up Prizes: In addition to the grand prize, there will be runner-up prizes of gift vouchers for the 5 Finalists. 50% voucher for second place and 25% for the remaining four.
