I will be showcasing our latest work for all to see during the 2023 North American Nationals at the fabulous Gaylord Opreyland Hotel.
If you are interested in booking a consultation with me for a delivery before your Oireachtas i would urge you to book your spot today. We can chat about colors, styles and get the dancer measured! Spaces are very limited this year due to early demand.

Let’s Celebrate the Worlds!

The World Championships are fast approaching but unfortunately we won’t be able to attend due to moving into our new headquarters. We love to show off our latest work plus catch up with our fab customers and meet new ones for the first time but this year we have to do things a little differently.
We will be offering a personal ZOOM service with Keith during the week of Worlds where you can discuss in private what you have in mind for your next costume, ask how we can make your dream costume a reality and how we can push your idea to the next level!
We know parents and teachers can stress about the measuring process and its great to have Keith measure in person so this year we have teamed with our friends Prime Dress Designs who will be vending at the Championships to measure on our behalf. Prime Designs are world renowned for creating high quality beautiful team costumes.
And to celebrate we are offering a fabulous offer of 500 Free Crystals with every order placed up to the Worlds Championships both in Montreal and here in Ireland.
We have very limited spaces for the North American Nationals in Nashville coming up in July so these will be taken on a first come first served basis only, otherwise you can book for delivery late July onwards and avail of our fab offer!

We’re on the move…
It all begins with an idea.
As we approach our tenth year in business creating unique and wonderful costumes for dancers worldwide we have outgrown our current home.
I am delighted to announce we are moving into a beautiful new studio within the historic Celtic Quarter of Belfast City where we can have more space to create and plan the exciting next chapter of Rising Star.
Over the next few weeks we will be settling in and welcoming our amazing customers for a tour while they are with us for their new costume. For those booked in for fittings we will let you know the next steps for visiting us
but nothing will change with your set times and dates.

It all begins with an idea.
The end of a year is always a time to reflect on the services we provide and this
year is no different. I take pride in the fact Rising Star is not one person but a team effort creating unique and beautiful costumes for dancers all over the world.
Costumes that are designed with the dancer’s personality in mind, because a happy dancer is a one who performs at their best whatever level that may be.
Recently the Irish dance world has been rocked with allegations of cheating which is both upsetting and embarrassing to all of us who stand on the right side of history. We have in the past gone along with trends of names on costumes and school identifiers but this is a time to change and think of the dancers who are putting in the long hours of training and let them achieve the result they deserve by themselves.
In my twenty two years of being in this industry I have witnessed many times when customers and dancers were treated unjustly from being told they can only use a particular designer to achieve a favour or a dancers costume could not be better than someone else in that age group. I believe in freedom of choice and this is not always awarded. Moving forward we will be making a conscious effort to keeping costume design fair for everyone with no names or identifiers.
Rising Star Designs is a company that is not associated with any one dance school. We provide unique costumes for dancers no matter their level, who they dance for or against. Every dancer is treated as an individual.
I hope we can move forward in time and celebrate the wonderful art form that is Irish Dance.
