Choosing what your new dream dress is going to look like does not have to be a daunting prospect. We are here to take that worry away and make it an enjoyable experience.
Many make the mistake that they feel they have to design their own costume when this is what we are here for. We are experienced and know what is currently in style, so let us guide you along the way.
We like to offer you as much or as little say in the process as you want. We are here to guide you in the right direction making sure the costume suits plus make you stand out in your competition, although if we feel that choice would not suit the dancer for what ever reason we will offer alternatives. We highly recommend your teacher is involved as they know the dancers flaws and strengths all of which can be added into the design process.

The Ordering Process
Ordering is a simple process in which we start by filling out an order form which we will email to you
when you are ready to start.
A non-refundable deposit of £300GBP is required to secure your spot and is payable by Visa/Mastercard.
Your order is not confirmed until the deposit had been charged.

How much will the costume cost?
The cost of the costume is dependant on the dancers age and height. You simply need to give us this information and we can give you a firm quote for the costume which includes a matching Headpiece, Kick Pants. Blazers, Vests, Ties are also available.
Added costs would include crystals which are dependant on the design of the costume and your budget but average cost is between £300/£500 again depending on your budget and if its a dress or a vest/blazer. We can also send the costume without crystals. We also have official Rising Star costume bags which can be personalised with a name. Shipping to the USA/Canada/Australia is £100 and UK/Ireland £40.
Different Ways to Pay
All Orders start with a Non-Refundable Deposit of £300 (Dress) £100 (Vest/Blazer) and the Balance due before we ship out. We also have these other options to choose from:
Monthly Payments
Arranged Payments each Month but credit card based on what you can afford.
Relaxed Payments
Make Payments Towards your Order when you are ready. You can contact Rising Star at any point from paying your deposit to shipping out or collection to make payments on account by credit card to the amount you are most comfortable with

Different types of Consultations
There are two types of Consultations where you can provide your ideas and suggestions.
In Studio
One to one with Keith or a member of our design team where you would either come to our studio in Belfast and discuss your order in detail plus get measured or you can meet with Keith who also attends most major competitions throughout the year.
Here you will also discuss the order in full and get measured by Keith. Both methods will require booking an appointment where you will have plenty of time to discuss the order in full and have any questions you may have answered.
Email / Telephone
If you live overseas we would carry out the whole process by email and telephone (if needed). This is our most popular and tried and tested method for our overseas customers.
Zoom Meeting
We can arrange for a time that suits both Keith and you to meet over Zoom to discuss your ideas and see what he can come up with for you. This option is an additional £50 for an hour consultation. With the time difference we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
How do I receive my costume?
In Studio Fitting
If you are available to visit our studio in Belfast you can come for a one on one fitting with one of our experienced seamstresses. Fittings take a full day but you will be given breaks throughout the day to go sightseeing or shopping if you wish. The dress is completed with Crystals all in one day. We have a very spacious comfortable fitting room which is yours for the duration of the day.
Overseas Orders
If you live overseas we would carry out the whole process in our studio and construct the costume as per the measurements we either receive from you or if you have been measured by a member of our staff at a competition.
We ask for photographs of the measurements you take so we can see if you have measured incorrectly. You will receive your costume wrapped safely in a secure box by courier.
NOTE: Please be aware when ordering from overseas that any purchases outside of your home country could incur extra customs charges that are calculated by your countries import and duty laws. We do not have any control over these extra charges.
Cancelling your order
In the event you need to cancel your order you will loose your deposit.
You do however have a choice to postpone the order for up to eight months or transfer to another dancer outside of your family but this needs to be arranged by the original customer and inform Rising Star.
Custom Adult or Kids Kilts
Launching new in 2021 we have the Rising Star Kilt. Our Kilts are beautifully made with a Gaberdine base which resists wrinkles and holds the pleats beautifully. You can custom pick the lining to be a contrasting colour if you wish or the standard black satin. Each Kilt is made to the dancers measurements and secured with quality leather straps on each side. We ship out with a tack stitch to hold the pleats in place and can be removed with then arrives to the dancer ready for the stage!

Crystals by Rising Star
Crystals on costumes only really become a thing in the last ten to fifteen years, as before this sequin and glitter ball fabrics were the fashion.
Crystals are here to stay but be mindful of what you use as they will cost you more plus add unwanted weight to your costume.

We supply genuine crystals from Swarovski and Preciosa in many colours and sizes. The popular colour would be AB (Aurora Borealis) on white and then a rainbow of colour to match our threads and materials.
We tend to stick to one or two sizes of colour SS30/34, depending on the detail but we would make that decision ourselves. Our Crystals are applied with a method of Gem-Tec and a glue gun. We only use quality glue sticks as cheaper glue will result in the crystals coming off. This is our tried and tested method and one we stand by as the best.
We can order in special shades and shapes if the need arises, but need sufficient time as these are usually special order that take time to arrive at our studio. We also provide Pearls and Mirror Pieces to be included in our designs to give that a unique edge.
How Much?
This really depends on Design, Size of Costume and your Taste.
Everyones dress is unique so no other dress has the same amount. When we send the design to you for approval we will suggest a crystal amount, as the designer of what it will take to fully crystallise the dress.
You can choose to go with this or increase/decrease the amount according to your Budget. You are in no way obliged to go with what we recommend. If the amount needs to be less we can space them out on the back or areas not on full show.
